1. Constant (loud!) whistling from several people!
2. People thinking they can play loud music when the rest of us use headphones
3. A certain someone coming in and turning off all the lights and closing all the blinds!
4. Loud talking movie ruiners!! (I know Kory feels my pain here!)
I try to be nice and courteous to everyone at work and I mind my own business and stay in my own quiet corner, but some people just baffle me with thinking they're the only ones that count. I can deal with people talking loudly to their spouses on the phone and people telling the same stories over and over again as different people file into the room, but those 4 things erk me more than anything. Am I just a grouch pregnant lady or does anyone else have office pet peeves?

Oh Kassie, you know you're not alone. My biggest one was people looking over my shoulder when I was working. I suppose there were only a few who bugged me when they did it, you know who they are, but come one. I also hated it when graphics would snap at me, or whoever else, about wanting to turn on the lights every single morning. I can't see my papers without them on! I could open my blinds but I didn't get those till I was pregnant--and let me tell you it was way too hot for this prego lady to do that!
I am sure I had many more but those are the two that bugged me the most that I can remember!
Good Luck with those and think, not much longer now till I am outa here! (hopefully anyway)
Yeah last nights movie was ruined by an office ending giveaway. I was mad. My pet peve is when people come to work and sit there and do nothing while the rest of us do their work.
Oh man! I am so sorry, i feel your pain! I can envision it all in my head right now! And I know who is doing all of those things!
i hate when people are in the stall in the bathroom and they are on their cell phones as i'm hearing them pee. it's gross. I hate the whistling thing too!
Not having been to an actual "workplace" in six years, I don't have any pet peeves to complain about. However, I remember. I remember the close-talkers and the people with smoker's breath. I also remember those people that would take their fifteen minute break and miraculously, it would turn to 20, 25,30minutes. Apparently, I was the only one that could tell time. I also agree with the bathroom stall comment. Except I totally hated it when they would start talking to me...and expect a full-on conversation, while I'M trying to pee.
Kass, like Amy I am sure I can name every single person who you are addressing in this post! It cracks me up. Thanks for the good laugh!
I hate lots and lots of things. But I'm also going off meds. I hate children who are alone places and being loud. I hate motorcyclists who don't wear helmets. I hate people who don't wash hands after they excrete waste. I hate when I think my hair is uneven and there are scissors laying around--don't ask. It's easy to be irritable. Especially the movie thing. There is no amount of medication or empty wombs that can make that situation be okay.
I thought of another. People who say that their two year olds have ADHD!
I sure dislike alot of things.
One of them being the phrase pet peeve.
But in addition to that I dislike:
Loud eating. Lip-smacking tongue-swirling deep-sighing drink-slurping loud-eaters. I once was woken up by people eating bananas.
Robin Williams and Adam Sandler in serious roles.
Waiters/resses that try to be involved in your life.
