laZy

Story discovered our couch this weekend. She sat on it the majority of the weekend reading books, snacking and watching TV. She is truly taking after my example and i couldn't be more proud!

We did a lot of lazying around this weekend. Me and Story that is. Jerome got a lot done, he got our outside door put in the laundry room. That was a huge all day project! But its coming a long and i can't wait until its done!

Amy taught Story a song, "I'm bring home a baby bumblebee, wont my mommy be so proud of me" then there's a part where you squish the bee, because it stung you and you say, "ew! Sticky", this is Story's version of the song:

mini update

Our laundry room is coming along great! First thing after ripping out cabinets was to put this door in to keep little 1 year old feet out. On Saturday Jerome got the closet for the washer and dryer completely framed and got the sheet rock up. Its coming along quick! Next is to get ready to put the outside door in! Can't wait until its done, our house looks like a tornado has hit it.

tooting my own horn

This week is kind of a big deal for me for a couple reasons. 1- I just got out of the first trimester of this pregnancy and have high hopes for feeling better! This was the honey moon stage with Story where i felt awesome and my motivation came back, so i'm really hoping its the same this time around.
Another reason this week is a big deal is because well i turn 25 and what that means is that i've been at Provo Craft for 5 years! I've sort of grown up with Provo Craft, all my life's major events happened while i was working here:
-Graduated from college
-Totaled a car for the first time
-My boyfriend came home from his mission
-Bought my first car (and many more after that)
-Married said boyfriend :)
-Moved away from home for the first time (which made me really sick, because this girl needs her mom)
-Bought a house
-Had baby # 1
-Soon to have baby #2 (soonish)

They gave me a nice little card and a gift card for my 5 years here, which i thought was great. Might go buy me a pair of shoes or something. :) I actually started out as a temp just trying to get my intern hours finished so i could graduate, but one of the graphic designers in marketing quit, so they offered me the job. Then after about a year or so I applied for an illustration job in Product Development and i've been here since. Anyway, now that my own horn has been tooted...

new renovations

Saturday we ripped out our laundry room to make it into this! We decided that there's enough space for me to put my craft room in with the laundry so the kids can have their own rooms. I'm pretty excited about the change. i think it will be a good move.

The start of the project!

We also put up this sign. I'm pretty excited about it, we get solicitors every couple saturdays and its really annoying, because i have a hard time being rude to people at the door...

Wolf Creek 2010

I know i just got home yesterday, but i'm bored at work, so you're all getting an immediate update. I liked story's outfit, so i took a picture while i was driving.... oops.

Our first day up we went out on the lake. Story got to ride with her dad on the jet ski (much to my dismay). i dont think i really had a choice in the matter, so off they went. Twice.

It was so hot outside that the water was actually really warm! it felt great. it was fun to float around for a while.

This girl had more sand in her diaper than the beach had i think. she did not like getting washed up in the shower after, she hated it so much that after we got out she peed all over my feet in protest.

Between her snoring and her dad snoring, i didn't get a whole lot of rest. they both sound like lawn mowers.

Unfortunately this is what she looked like most of our trip. Lack of sleep, too much sugar and getting told "no" too many times led to fit after fit. I think she is just turning 2 soon and this is going to be our life for a while.
We had a lot of fun at wolf creek, we also played in the pool at the condo, but those pictures are on our underwater camera that we need to go get developed.
