I don't really have much to blog about today, but I didn't want that spider picture to be front and center anymore. 

So, I'm walking in Walmart the other day with Jerome and we stumbled upon this beautiful display! This is a Cuttlekids™ display I did at my graphics job at PC. I designed the display and the packaging. But, do you see that little asian boy? If you look closely that's my sister Kim's house and the boy is actually our little Cole's body! The sales rep said that there's the two little white girls on the top and then a very white Cole, but that's too much white for Walmart, so my boss at the time cropped in an Asain head on Cole! Sorry to distort your child Rainey!

sPiDeR sEaSoN?

Is it spider season? I've killed 7 in 3 days! Huge ones too! I walked in my door and killed 2 baby ones (at least someone in our house is starting their family!) and then walked outside and killed another one on my porch all within a minute! I hate spiders more than anything! (maybe not mice) This morning i was doing my hair and picked up a shirt off the floor and one flew out onto my foot! i screamed and killed it! Any tips on getting rid of them? PS, sorry for the yucky picture!

LiVinG RoOm UpDatE

Our entry way in our living room is tiled! Yay Hooray! Jerome did the grout this morning, I haven't seen it yet, but you get the general idea. We're getting close to being done with our living room. We've gone over 6 weeks without a living room and that's a hard thing to go without! We have to finish the trim, window sill, and outlets, then one day.... carpet! Jerome is so amazing to do all of this, he works very hard and soon we'll have a finished home, he spends every free second he has working on the house. We're both tired of construction, but hopefully we'll only have another year of it.

RoCk BaNd

Jerome bought Rock Band and sang his little heart out yesterday for 3 hours after church, so that there would be plenty of levels to play when we took it to the families for Easter dinners.

We spread the joy first to my family (The Anderson Band) and then to his family (The Miles Band)...

My friend Kim W. gave me this awesome cookie recipe! They are so delicious and super fast!

This recipe makes just over 2 dozen.

1 Box Betty Crocker French Vanilla Cake Mix

1/4 C. Flour

1/4 C. Water

1 Egg

1/2 C. oil

1 family size bag of peanut butter M&M's

1 bag chocolate/caramel swirl chips

*Mix the cake mix, water, flour, egg, & oil together. Stir in 1/2 bag chocolate/caramel chips, then stir in 1/2 family size bag peanut butter M&M's. Bake for 10 mins. at 350˚F, they don't look quite done, but you let them sit out for like a half hour to an hour and they're perfect and soft for days!

NeW oLd ReCipE

Yesterday I tried a new recipe. It's one my mom makes every now and then. I called her for the recipe and she couldn't find it, so she guessed. It actually turned out pretty good even though I forgot the salt and pepper! ;) oops. I don't know the name of it, but here it is...

2 cups of spaghetti (cooked of course)

1 & 1/4 cans cream of chicken soup

2 cans of tyson chicken (it sounds gross, but chicken in a can is worth it!)

1 1/2C shredded cheese.

*First you mix together 1C cheese with the chicken (drained of course) and with the soup, then stir in the drained spaghetti and lay it all in an 8 X 8 pan. Then sprinkle more cheese on top and cook it for 20 minutes at 350˚F! Its super easy and it makes a lot (at least for the 2 of us).

You remember before...

This is after we got it painted on Wednesday, we still have to fix the edges of the ceiling and put up a chair rail and base trim.

So far we've replaced both windows, touched up the walls, re-sheet rocked some places, leveled part of the floor, put in 6 can lights, wired for a ceiling fan and moved it a foot of two, got the surround sound set up and ready to plug in some speakers, and painted. We still have another week of work before we can carpet, but its coming along and hopefully we'll have a place to sit and watch TV again!
