WoLf CrEeK

We went to Wolf Creek (up Ogden canyon) Monday night to Wednesday night with Jerome's family. They go every year. Jerome brought the wii and we played it endlessly. Don was our champion bowler! His high score was 194! He got a strike or a spare every turn. He's a serious bowler.

We swam at the pool a lot and played pool and on Wednesday we went to the lake. Jerome was pretty crazy out on the jet ski, because i wouldn't go with him. (being 6 months pregnant, it made me too nervous...)

Chris and Jerome went together and just kept knocking each other off.

Chris and Ash went out a bunch too, we just heard squeals from the beach, but i don't think anyone got knocked off... :0)

There were 2 paddle boats just sitting on the beach, so we stole one and went for a couple spins. its hard work to paddle, especially when the other side is broken! There were only 1 set of paddles, Jerome did most the work, but we switched and i paddled us too.

bEsT BirThDaY EVER!!!

This weekend was an AWESOME one! It started Friday after work. I get home from work and there's 2 big presents waiting for me in the living room! Jerome had bought me 2 great big 4 x 4's and cut them all up so i can make blocks for people in my craft room! (So Rainey, i'll get them sanded and start working on Sydney's blocks!) He made like 80 blocks and wrapped them in 2 different boxes. One of the boxes also included a little envelope with a shopping spree inside! :0) Then we went grocery shopping and he brought out 2 more presents for me! He had gone to Robert's Crafts and bought me the pink paper i needed for Story's baby book and a Cricut Juke Box! (its a crafting thing). I made him go with me to take it back and buy it again with my discount to save like $30 bucks... Sorry Jerome. The drive was worth saving money! The next day was a total surprise! We woke up late and he let me take a bath before we started our day. We got in the car and he had different locations mapped out on the GPS for me to follow all day! (I loved this idea, very clever!) We left the house around 11:45ish and the GPS lead us to...

This was a big deal, because I LOVE LOVE Cafe Rio and Jerome HATES it But he took me here for lunch anyway! The next stop was Movies 8 to go see...

This too was also a BIG DEAL, because Jerome HATES cartoons and knew I really wanted to see this movie, which it was SO AWESOME!! It was really funny and i loved it! After the movie we got in the car and the GPS lead us to...

Jerome and I really love arcades that give out tickets, that's why he chose this place, we really worked over the place by playing the 2 games we're good at. We checked the place out and picked out what we wanted to win. We earned 5,891 tickets! We only needed 5,000, so we spent what we wanted and gave 2 little girls over 700 tickets, man were they stoked! Check out what we won....

A HUMUNGOUS Care Bear! Eat your heart out amy! :0) This thing takes up Story's entire crib! She'll be 5 before she's taller than it!

We were pretty stoked! After we collected our prize we headed to....

Baskin Robins for an ice cream cone! Yum Yum! Their Gold Medal Ribbon ice cream is my very favorite ice cream ever! Then we got gas, which made me very suspicious, because we had 1/2 a tank and Jerome likes to run out of gas before he gets any again, so i'm thinking we're headed to salt lake to go shopping or someting, but the GPS lead us to LOGAN! Jerome had reserved a room at Anniversary Inn 2 weeks ago! We got there a little after 7. We stayed in the Oriental Gardens Room! It was fantastic!!! He really took advantage of the fact that this is our last birthday without kids, so he went ALL OUT!!! We had dinner at Ruby Tuesday's in Logan and then checked in to our room (which was just around the corner from the Logan Temple, it was beautiful!) Here's our room...

This was our bed

This tub was huge! Over twice the size as ours at home! And we have a huge tub!

They had a little table with sand on it and different combs to make patterns in... kinda weird but fun. :0)

I LOVE THIS GUY!!!

The next day we went to my Mom's for a mini birthday party. My mom apologized for Baskin Robins spelling my name with a 'c' instead of a 'k'. She told them a K and they still spelled it wrong. We had a lot of fun at my Mom's playing wii and eating yummy food and cake! This was by far the best birthday I have ever had! Jerome went all out and he did an awesome job!!!!

piGLeT...

Aunt Kelli knitted this piglet doll for Story, it'll probably be the size of her when she is born... :0) We LOVE it! Thanks Kelli!

I have completed 1 page in Story's baby scrapbook! I Cricuted all the letters and of course the little piglet with the teddy bear. Her whole book is pink and brown. I'm excited about her cute little book! Its all 8 X 8, so those little pictures are tiny!

cHeCk uP #5

That of course is NOT MY STOMACH! But, today at work my stomach moved, because she kicked me so hard. It was really neat! She's never kicked for Jerome, just for me. He has yet to see or feel her move. I always make him try, but as soon as he puts his hand on my stomach she stops! She's a stinker already! :0)
Well, we had our 5th doctor's appointment on Monday and turns out i gotta get a shot in the butt next month. I've got RH- blood, the bad kind that attacks the baby's blood cells, but the shot should cure the problem. One of my sister's has the same type and had 8 kids, so Story should be fine. I also have to take the gross glucose test next month and little does Jerome know, he's coming with me! They make you drink goo and then draw your blood after fasting for several hours (at least that's what i've heard). The doc says she's growing just fine and her heart beat sounds great. 3 1/2 more months until I get to meet her! I'm kind of done sharing my body and worrying if she's okay in there, so I can't wait to meet her and not worry that what I'm eating isn't good for her, because its probably not! Plus I'm done with those Braxton Hicks contractions, they pretty much suck.... However all is well with Story and I'm counting down the days to meet her! We've got a long ways to go!

DoWnAtTa HoT SpRiNgS

After running a million errands Friday after work Jerome and I were on our way to Downey, ID. We got to the camp site just before dark around 8:30 and ate our tin din's.

We found a little pony and fed him some grass.

I was a little too chicken that it was going to bite my fingers off!

Grampa Kimber played the harmonica and Uncle Trevon played the guitar and sang. (in the corner is Kris and Mel).

The next day was the most fun! We went to Lava Hot Springs and went floating down the river. Here's Chris & Ash taking pictures on the bridge after we went down twice.

Kelli, Melissa, and Kristi floating down on a quad tube.

Just Jerome and me in the car. The second time we went down the river was the most fun. We went off this little 4 foot water fall and we were on a double tube, me in front. We went down the fall me first and i went completely under! Water went straight up my nose! Jerome barely got wet at all because he was in back! He thought i was a goner, he said he looked forward and i was just missing. Luckily i didn't fall out! We had so much fun!

I think we may have convinced my parents yesterday to take our family to Lava over the weekend sometime soon, there's a lot to do there and even little kids can go down the river, it was a blast!

Well, i bought my first pair of clown pants! (aka, maternity pants). I should have bought these years ago!! They are totally comfortable! They make me look like an egg and the waist band goes up to my boobs, but they are beyond comfortable! I recommend these to anyone, pregnant or not! Target has some great ones! :0)

WE HAVE BLINDS!!!! Before we had to duck while we changed our clothes and Jerome called it our fish bowl, because all the neighbors could see our privates. :0) I no longer have to flaunt my boobies to the world! :0) Kristi made these beautiful shades! She's incredible! A HUGE THANKS to her!! She's been awesome at helping us out in our house. I woke up this morning and there was no direct sunlight in my eyes through the window and i could stand up to change, its a beautiful thing! :0)

I figure everyone's pretty sick and tired of looking at my torn apart kitchen, but they way i see it, a dumb post is better than no post at all. So here's our update. This is what our floor looked like when I got home from work on Friday! Scary pit into the cellar.

Jerome was pretty exhausted, but he finished pulling up the floor before he quit, so by Friday night we had no floor at all.

Saturday my mom and dad came to save the day!!! They went shopping at home depot with us and helped put in new joists! Don't they look beautiful!! By the time they left we had a new floor! They are incredible to come help us out so much! We COULD NOT have done it on our own. We are extremely grateful to them!

This is our pretty subfloor. They glued and nailed it down.

This is what it looks like today! My mom and I screwed all that cement board down! I sat down to do it all and i'll tell ya, I have the sorest butt on the planet! I have muscles that hurt that i didn't know i had! They were so awesome to help us do all of this. Today we are going to start the framing process and pick up all our tile. Its coming along really quickly thanks to all the help we're getting! We'll be back in business in no time!

uH... YIKES!!

A couple of posts ago you saw the before picture, this is the after... This is what i came home to Wednesday, Yesterday all those little tiny slats of wood were gone and you could see our cellar stairs. But the floor was all cleaned up and looked much better. Jerome took a marker and drew it all out on the floor to make sure it all fit and it looked wonderful! Today he's taking out the floor and redoing the joists. Saturday Mom and Dad are coming over to help put in the new sub floor! Apparently pregnant people are no help at all... :0) i'll just have to finish my book then!...

That door leads into our laundry room, there was a window in the wall there on the left, we're thinking this used to be the edge of the house before and the laundry room was added on later.

This was the big mess on the floor. So far we've made 3 dump runs and will make 2 more today! WHAT A MESSY PROJECT! As Jerome says, it all just gets replaced for me, but unless he does something its just going to sit there. Its an overwhelming project. It always is until the floor is put back in and the sheetrock is done being sanded. Then the fun part starts! Tile and cabinets! :0) Jerome's a very hard worker, his arms are all scratched up and bruised from hauling everything to the dump and pulling out walls and such. He's pretty awesome and I'm SUPER lucky.

This is my first craft project in my new room! Jerome surprised me with a 4 X 4 the other day and he cut them up for me. We sanded them at my dad's house the other day and i painted them and cut out the vinyl on my Cricut! Jerome had to help me get them on straight, they're really flimsy and sticky! They turned out wonderful! They are to go on top of Story's dresser in her room! :0) What do you think?

Slightly different view...

wE'vE bEeN rObBeD!!!

We haven't really been robbed, but we are starting construction on our kitchen today. These cabinets are ORIGINAL!! 100 years old! They're coming out today! Unfortunately everything is stacked in Story's room, so the Nursery pic will have to wait until the new cabinets are in. We're ripping out the subfloor too, so there will be a ten foot whole in the kitchen leading down to the dirt cellar basement. SCARY!!! Hopefully we'll have the new subfloor in by Friday, so i wont have to stress about Jerome falling without insurance! :0) This is definitely going to be an adventure, one I'm glad we're going on before the baby is born! I'll keep you posted! :0)

A bunch of us family went to Yuba lake on Saturday. Here are some pics...

We were all surprised to see my dad out on the wave runner!

FIRE
Friday night there was a big fire on the mountain in Payson. I guess a power line arched and exploded. We stopped by Kim's on the way out to buy 'Breaking Dawn' around 11 to make sure she was alive and we found them out on the lawn, the fire was super close to her house and they evacuated the apartments right by her.

BOOB SWEAT SHAKES...

On the way back from Yuba Kelli, Kyle, Jerome and I stopped at a little drive in hamburger shop. The longer we were there, the more and more sketchy it got... There were flies everywhere and when i asked for a chocolate cookie dough shake she said, "we don't have any coffee..." hmmm. so i said, "do you have chocolate? can i get that instead?" Thanks lady. Then this lady came in who was, well, gross. She worked there and had bleach yellow blonde pig tails sticking out the sides of her head and kept sayin, "work mode! blah lah lah lah!" and shaking her head and sticking her tongue out. Where does the boob sweat come in? Well we had our shakes and were eating and Wendy and Kim's family show up and they all ordered shakes and food. The earlier mentioned gross lady took a rag off the counter and wiped the sweat between her boobs with it and set it back down. The boy that worked there then picked up the rag and wiped down the little things that come out of the shake machine to stir the ice cream. :0) So Wendy, Kim, I'm afraid you were the unknowing victims of BOOB SWEAT SHAKES...

sCrApBoOk rOoM!

My scrapbook room is finally done!!! Jerome has worked so hard to get it just perfect for me! All we have left to do is put the window sill in and the closet door knobs on.

This is my Cricut-ing desk with my tv on the right, so i can watch 'Friends' while i scrapbook!

This is my desk to lay stuff out and glue everything together. Check out the new window! I can see out of this one too!

This is my very exciting new storage system from Ikea! Jerome made me little drawers (the white ones) to hold all of my paper! That's the tredmill that i jog...okay walk on.

These are the closet doors we put in, this was a huge upgrade! Before they slid from side to side and they were supa Fugly! Be sure to check out that little screen Jerome put in above the tredmill, so i can watch 'Friends' and 'Will & Grace' while i walk.

I am very excited about these!! We got the black magnetic strips at Ikea for 99 cents! The little wood shapes on them are something I designed! We hot-glued magnets on the back of them, so I can display them on the wall or on the fridge! They're above both the desks and I'm really excited about them!

So there's the scrapbook room! Our house is almost completely put back together (well, except for our gross kitchen). We're still working on the baby's room, but i'll post pictures when we're done with that. Can't wait to show people in person!
