Today marks 1 year ago that Jerome and I bought our Equinox. For those of you who don't know, we don't keep cars very long, because Jerome's a car salesman and we like to trade them in quite often. We love our Equinox and wanted to celebrate its 1 year birthday as part of our family!

To Celebrate we went to Baskin Robins and got some icecream. I got their Reeses Sunday, I don't recommend it! Its got way too much peanut butter!

WinDoW

New WiNDoW

We got our big windows in for our living room! Last night we sheet rocked the gaps and put putty over the joints. (Well, Jerome put putty over the joints, I  did the taping though). This is a much bigger project than i anticipated! We've got a lot to do before we get our living room back! Now that I'm tall enough to actually see out the window, the room seems much smaller.

DMV MiX uP

LicEnSe pLatE MiX uP

I went to the DMV yesterday to re-register my car and the lady looked up my plates and asked me if I still lived on Columbia Lane. I told her that I never did live on Columbia Lane. She asked me if my plates were 317 UPS, I said yes and she said for Jeremy Milestage? (or something like that) I said no, Jerome Miles. She said if that's your name your license plate should say 319 PEP, Turns out we have Jeremy's plates and he has ours, they got switched at the DMV a year ago! They issued me new plates, but if I would have gotten pulled over in the last year I would have been hosed for no registration and wrong plates! Now we have those new ugly plates that are ski Utah with that nasty brown strip at the top. We wondered why when we got our plates a year ago they weren't the ski Utah ones we asked for.

Our Adventurous Night!

This was our living room when I got home from work last night.

This was a half hour later.

We put in 5 successful can lights, one not so successful. One just happened to be where two beams crossed, which our stud finder failed to tell us about!

We've been wondering what was under the carpet to make it such a rollercoaster! Very wavy forever old wood, that's what!

We got these windows, but at what cost? Well, the taller of the two (not the wider) didn't fit  in my car past where the tires are on the outside, so we laid all our seats flat and poor Jerome had to sit back there and hold it in the car on the half hour drive home! It was freezing cold with the back open, and we had to take all the back roads to avoid the police, because if we got pulled over we'd be in big trouble, because we don't have any registration! (I lost it :] oops!)

Our living room remodel has begun. Not of course without injuries! I was knocking the tile out of the windowsill and apparently broken tile is really sharp! I sliced my hand open a little.  We're replacing the windows, windowsills (or lack there of), the ceiling fan, and repainting & carpeting. We're hoping it wont take more than a week before we're painted. We're going to have a lot of long nights!

Happy Valentines Day!

We Celebrated our Valentines Day yesterday (Feb. 13), because it was Jerome's day off. We drove through the heavy snow and fog to Orem around 7:45 and went to P.F. Chang's!

We got their really yummy chicken lettuce wraps! They're delicious!

Jerome ordered their lemmon pepper shrimp and ate what he assumed was a squash, but turned out to be a lemon, peel and all! :) His face made the whole night worth it! :) I ordered the mongolian beef. We had a lot of fun!
Happy Valentines day!

CHA WinTeR

Yesterday I went to Sunny Anaheim!

I had to take a picture of the palm trees, this was at John Wayne Airport.
For work, I went to Anaheim for a day to walk the CHA (Craft and Hobby Association) Winter show. We left Provo Craft (in Spanish Fork) at 6AM and got back at 9:30 at night, I didn't get home until 11pm, that's one long day! But, California has the perfect weather, no snow in sight!

This is just a glimpse of the booth that Provo Craft had, it was really cool to see everything set up, it looked pretty sweet! I even got my picture taken with the Cricut!

This is a big giant poster of the new wedding cartridge. Love it. ;)
The show was a lot of fun, it was neat to see how the shows work and to see Provo Craft work as a family outside of the office. It was a ton of walking and i wanted to chop my feet off by the time I got home, but I had a good time.

We woke up early Saturday morning to paint our hallway before Jerome had to go to work @ 11:30. The bottom is a dark chocolate color and the top is a milk chocolate color. We haven't put up the chair rail of the base trim yet, we'll do that on Wednesday (Jerome's day off). We're excited that it's so close to being done. Next we have to paint all the bedrooms and the living room & put up trim, then we can have carpet! Yay Hooray!

These are our shadow boxes, they each have a light in them (they get really hot, so don't touch them, i burnt my finger). They also have digital picture frames in them that will all have different pictures running on them. We bought these from the Mexican market, so they were only 20 bucks! We burried the wires in the sheetrock and have a switch to turn them on. There's 3, so we'll have one that runs pictures of the Miles family, one of the two of us, and another that runs the Anderson family. You'll have to come check it out, Jerome's very proud of himself. :) (Which he should be!)

Monday February 11th is my first business trip! It's just a day trip, I fly to Anaheim in the morning (the very early morning!) and fly back late at night. I get to walk the show and see our Provo Craft booth for the first time, I'm really excited because I created some of the posters around the booth. Plus its my first show!

Our hallway is primed!

We stayed up so late last night priming our entire hallway (not just this wall).
We put in shadow boxes and moved the door to the corner (see previous post for before pictures). We're so excited to paint on Saturday morning!!! We picked 2 browns and we'll put a chair rail on too! We're so excited that we're getting close to being finished! We plan to paint all the rooms next, then re-carpet everything. Yay Hooray!

Sometimes we all feel this way, whether it's at work or other places

While at my old job I felt this way sometimes, I just thought this was funny, because its supposed to make fun of those lame posters that never really make anyone feel inspired!

A guy at work fixed my computer and now my ipod works again! YAY HOORAY!
