I've had this little hoodie pattern for forever, but haven't ever done it, because I was a little intimidated, because i'd never really used a serger before. Kelli helped me make it last weekend and they turned out so cute! She made one for Felix and I for Gauge. Those 2 boys are about the same size!

My garden is getting so completely huge! We've eaten 2 zucchinis from it and have 2 more waiting for us on the counter and about 5 that are growing on our plant. As for the rest of them, we've got a couple yellow squash slowly coming in and a ton of very green tomatoes.
The leaves on that zucchini plant are giant and are over shadowing EVERYTHING. My pepper plant died because it ended up getting no sun light.
Our neighbors went to a garage sale and bought some privacy strips for our shared fence. We actually really like them and are grateful for them. We sometimes sit in the backyard after work and talk and our neighbors do the same thing, so it was always sorta awkward.
My camera had a smudge on the lens, so we're all blurry, but i liked the picture regardless.
As for the 6 months portion of this post: Gauge is nearly 6 months old! I seriously can't believe it. Time really has flown by, he is so perfectly chubby and really has his own sweet personality. He is quite sensitive, but also very serious. He's kind of a tough crowd, its hard to get him to smile sometimes. When he was a tiny baby he never ever cried, still he's only really cried a handful of times, but now he lets you know when he is mad. Story took a toy away from him the other day and he got pretty pissed at her.
These are my favorites of the impromptu 6 month pictures I took of him today.
This is Story with gauge and her cousin Jace.
And Story is a little naughty girl. She was in time out and colored all over her yellow wall. She's a little terd. When I asked her if she colored on the wall she said, "no". Total stinker.

At least she didn't tell you no and then tell you they were eyes not squares. I love those pictures of Gauge, especially the serious one. I was kind of intimidated by the knit too, but I'm glad I pretended I wasn't! They turned out great!
The sweatshirt is rad! Something about Gauge's face makes me want to just hang out with him all the time. He's so shy, I love it. Those privacy slats get expensive! We looked at them and I think it ended up being $5 bucks/lf of fencing. And I brought up the same story Kelli did when Amy told me the coloring on the walls story.
It is so true about gauge, although Dani makes him smile. Today I was holding him and she was laying on the couch next to me, and he just leaned over her in awe, and they both just smiled and coo'd at each other. He is a pretty chill kid, makes for easy watching. And story totally colored on our table today, I turned my back for like a minute and she went crazy, we talked about it and I told her we don't color on tables or walls but paper only. But ten minutes later she was back to the table. SO now she doesn't get to color today anymore. I love your garden, yeah last year we only really got yellow squash but it was still fun. I am quite envious that you guys got to do it this year. I want this year to speed by so I can plant another one. I am not ready for summer to be over tho, it makes me cry
Story is not really a naughty girl, she is just a two year old. Gauge is so cute and photogenic too.
I'm so impressed by your garden! I can't believe Gauge is 6 months - he's such a cutie!
Gauge smiled at me today. And it made me happy. I'm thinking that I JUST might be wearing him down....Also, I really like your blond hair. I think today was the first time I noticed it. Or maybe that I've seen you with it, down.
