We just got back from a 10 day vacation. It's good to be home! The first night we went up to Park City. Story was so unimpressed with the hotel. We even got upgraded to a deluxe room, but she didn't like being stuck in one room. She kept asking to go home and was up pretty much all night long. Ugh. We went to GAP and Story found a little girl to hug. Jerome and the girl's dad had to peel the two of them apart, because they wanted to hug for forever. :)
Gauge thought it was okay. He slept pretty good. The second night we stopped in Reno. We went on a ferris wheel, Story hated it after it started moving. She's a big chicken. She loved the bounce house though and a couple of the fun games.
The first day in Fairfield we took it really easy. The second day I woke up with strep throat. It was pretty horrible. It knocked me clear out. Tuesday was a little better, so we went to the Jelly Belly factory and had a tour. Note to self: this place is NOT for little kids. Story was a stinker the whole time. Even when they gave out free samples. After the factory Jerome and I went to a double feature. We saw "Source Code" & "Arthur". Both good.
Thursday we went to this little mall that had a big play center in the middle while Jerome checked in his robot. Story loved this place. They had all sorts of things to do. She especially loved the little rocking horses they had there. She made friends with a little boy riding the blue horse. Story kept yelling "Yee haw! Ride like the wind bulls eye!"
We went to the ferris wheel, everyone thought Story would just love it. Which she did until it started moving....
Doesn't she look like she's having fun? :)
Then Grampa bought us tickets for the train ride. Story really liked that part. Gauge slept through the whole thing.
Its a lot harder than it looks to have Gauge strapped to you and to hold Story on your hip.
They had all these windows you could open to take your picture.
We spent a lot of time on the porch. It was the only thing that would calm Gauge down sometimes in the evening. He's a stinker and gets really fussy at night. Anyway, that's Pt. 1 We had a good time, but we are glad to be back in our own beds.

YEAH! I love that you are home now, even though I still can't come see you guys, I kind miss the days when our families would be sick on the same schedule.
I think it's funny she doesn't like ferris wheels, Axel is such a fan of them, she seems to be timid in the area's he's not and Visa Versa.
how'd you like your moby wrap for the trip, and stroller?
I look forward to all your upcoming posts.
Welcome back! That's a long trip. I think Gauge is taller than Axel.
Looks like you guys had a good time. That's funny how much Story hates the ferris wheels. Can't wait to see the rest of your trip. Glad you guys made it back safely!
Sorry you got Strep throat on your vacation. Jeff did the exact same thing. I think your bodies like to sabotage you. I loved all your pictures. It makes me excited to go on a vacation.
I love that picture of you holding Story and Gauge at the same time. I know that's hard to do. It reminded me of when Riley and Cole were little. :)
I'm super glad you're home. It sucks you've only got two weeks left. I'm pretty pissed about it. Probably not as upset as you...but still. Your trip sounds super fun, even with the sickness...but that really sucks.
