Story & Ray

I love this picture. It describes how Story feels about Rayder to a T. She lights up for no one the way she lights up for him. He is her best buddy and just loves to play with him. Rayder has always been very gracious about Story, he always makes sure she has a toy or a stuffed animal for her naps on Grandma Kristi day and he is very patient with her. Seems like he knows that she's little and doesn't get all the rules yet.
This week has been so much fun with Story. i am just eating up every minute with her. She is learning so many new words and will repeat what you say and has started calling people by name. This week she learned to say "way" (ray), "dace" (jace), and "baby" (felix). and she's learned "gamma make-ina" (grandma Maida). She has been really fun for me to just watch her play and to talk with her. I'm really loving this stage. Another phrase she picked up this week is "i can do it". I'm guessing she learned that one from her bestie Ray.
Anyway, just had to share this picture, it was too cute and said a lot to me.

That is too cute, that is how she looks at uncle Kory too, when he comes home for lunch. She really picks favorites doesn't she? Too bad she only "tolerates" Axel. One day maybe when he's more playable with her on her level.

She was using the "I can do it" phrase a lot at the park, it was really cute and i didn't have the heart to tell her she was wrong when she was trying to climb up a super steep slide. I can't wait for that stage. I am really losing it with Felix's "purple crying" stage. It's not fun and I foresee me spending A LOT of time at mom's.

I just noticed they have matching diapers. That's funny. And my word verification is dibypers, which looks like diapers to me.

Story's room is amazing. I can't even believe all the work you've done. Sydney's room still looks like an old lady's office. And I have no intention of changing that because I'm lazy.
I love how excited she is about playing with Ray. That's how I always felt about my Teeples cousins, when I was little. And Syd has started trying to say things, too. But it's really hard to understand. I mean, REALLY hard. In fact, sometimes I don't get that she was trying to communicate with my until an hour later, after I've thought about it. I'm a rotten mother.
