tooting my own horn

This week is kind of a big deal for me for a couple reasons. 1- I just got out of the first trimester of this pregnancy and have high hopes for feeling better! This was the honey moon stage with Story where i felt awesome and my motivation came back, so i'm really hoping its the same this time around.
Another reason this week is a big deal is because well i turn 25 and what that means is that i've been at Provo Craft for 5 years! I've sort of grown up with Provo Craft, all my life's major events happened while i was working here:
-Graduated from college
-Totaled a car for the first time
-My boyfriend came home from his mission
-Bought my first car (and many more after that)
-Married said boyfriend :)
-Moved away from home for the first time (which made me really sick, because this girl needs her mom)
-Bought a house
-Had baby # 1
-Soon to have baby #2 (soonish)

They gave me a nice little card and a gift card for my 5 years here, which i thought was great. Might go buy me a pair of shoes or something. :) I actually started out as a temp just trying to get my intern hours finished so i could graduate, but one of the graphic designers in marketing quit, so they offered me the job. Then after about a year or so I applied for an illustration job in Product Development and i've been here since. Anyway, now that my own horn has been tooted...

Congrats! You get a great glass paperweight if you work at my work that long. I'd far rather get the gift card. If you need someone to shop with you know it's my favorite! You've done a lot in 5 years. That's how long we've been married. And we don't even have one baby to show for it :)

And it's funny because in the time you have worked there I have had this many jobs:

Nanny
Painter
Quiznos
Lowe's
Piano Gallery
Spring Creek Elementary
Tempus Dental Lab
Boys and Girls Club
DCFS
Wasatch Mental Health

Righteous! That's a long time! It's kinda weird thinking that this all started with that internship. Remember how you totally rocked that water bottle design and they paid you for it?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! I can't believe I didn't text you BEFORE midnight, but I didn't want to possibly wake you. I think you're fantastic. And you just keep getting more so each and every year. You're a wonderful talented artist and mother and you're kind and smart and beautiful. I hope that you know this already. And if you do? This is just a little more affirmation.

I know I am late to the party, but my computer has been in the repair shop.

But 5 years really? I remember when you got that job, and I was thinking about your water bottle design just last week actually. :)

You are awesome! Way to stay at a job longer than 6 months (yes that is my max amount)

you also need to add to that list you QUIT training table.

Wait, what about your clock? I thought after 5 years you got one of those cheap clocks with the old logo on it?
