UnCoOpErATivE!

My little Story Bug is beyond uncooperative! On Friday Jerome and I thought it would be fun to take a trip to the Provo Mall and get a 3D Ultrasound, so we could see what she looks like, because with these weeks CrEePiNg by! i'm getting too excited to meet her and anxious for her arrival and these 6 weeks aren't going by fast enough! Anyway, so we went in and they squirted the hot goo all over my belly and we saw Story. She had her hand over her face, so we didn't really get to see her face. They shook her around and she wouldn't budge, so we made a free second appointment. We went in the next day at a different time hoping she'd be awake. Jerome made me down a can of mountain dew and we went in and she was fast asleep with both hands over her face and then she swung her foot up in front of her face as well. Nice. Then she started sucking on her foot, so we couldn't get a decent shot, but the poor girl was up ALL NIGHT LONG because of that Mt. Dew! So i made a third appointment. Jerome couldn't go and i wasn't about to go alone, so i dragged poor Amy with me. This time was much like the second time, both hands were over her face and she waved at us with her little foot before she put it right in the way. No matter how much they shook her she wouldn't wake up. So i've made another appointment, if she doesn't cooperate this time I'm just going to bag the whole thing, because this little bug is getting ridiculous with her hiding! It has been fun to see her like 3 times this week though. The second time we got to see her little mouth open and close a bunch in her sleep. She's got a very pointy chin!

Jerome and I took a trip to the dollar theater on Saturday to see Hancock. Gabe & Melissa (Brother & Sister-in-law) told us a while ago it was a good movie, so we gave it a shot and LOVE IT!! We really liked it and recommend it.

On our way home we rented Charlie Bartlett. It is rated R, because of a few F bombs, but we liked this movie too. We had a fun movie filled Saturday.

bOrEd

Today I'm stuck at home. I should be at work, but my ankles and feet are the size of watermelons! So I'm at home with my feet up watching ANTM. :0) I have a problem doing too much on my feet when i get home from work, and i over did it last night and am paying for it today. Any suggestions for swollen ankles?

I totally stole this photo off my friend Loraleigh's blog, but i am ready for a new post on my blog, so i "blog lifted" it.
These are my friends from Provo Craft that have all had babies and abandoned me. Kim's still there and keeps me company Monday through Thursday, which i am very grateful for & Kristen comes in on Thursday's, but the rest of them are abandoners and i refuse to make more friends, because they'll just end up leaving anyway. :0) Is that strange? Jerome thinks it is absurd! But i still refuse. I am the last of the bunch to have a baby, but I'm also the youngest. Story and Lucy will be out numbered, but Lucy's a good hitter and will dominate until Story's big enough to help out. I'll definitely teach Story how to smack dad when he tickles her, because i do that already. It's a necessary survival skill at our house. :)

This weekend was a crafty one. Jerome's new thing is making clocks out of sheets of wood. He is already incredible at it!

This is the first clock he made. He did this on Friday for our sister-in-law Ashley's birthday. It's 36" and has a frame on top of it (the black part). He used stamps he found at D.I. for the numbers and letters.

This is clock number 2 that he made for Kim's Birthday. i think its like 34" or something. The frame on this one is painted on.

This is clock number 3 that he made this weekend. He made this one for Kory's birthday. He used my cricut and cut a star out and made a foam stamp with it. He cut the guitars out on the cricut too and used them as a stencil. He let me help design this one. The stars were totally my idea. :0) He textured the background color of each clock with his "wooly" that he also bought at D.I. he likes his new technique. He had a lot of fun making these and hopes to sell them on ebay soon. Maybe etsy too.

This is what i crafted this weekend. I made them out of paper with my cricut and taped them above her crib! Nothing too special, but it was fun to make them. they're each 11.75" tall.

Just a close up.

Last night Jerome and i needed to do something fun, because we had a kind of bummer day, so we decided after a long while of debating to go fly his remote control airplane at the park by our house.

I'm actually excited that this park is only a block away, because it has a playground for when Story gets older.

whatever that means....

This probably isn't the safest idea for a pregnant lady. it was a little scary... especially when i fall just walking on flat ground, I'm super clumsy!

Here we go!

bad idea. Jerome let me fly it and it somehow got stuck in this tree.... really high up. This was right after i flew it out of range and it almost got run over by cars...

Sorry. He was pretty sad, but also thought it was pretty funny.

What did we do? we ran home and walked back with a big long pipe and a flashlight, because it had gotten dark already. The pipe was forever long, we looked kind of funny walking across the main street. :0)

Still trying!!

Yay hooray! He got it! It's pretty broken and needs fixing from when i ran it into the jungle gym and the fin broke off. that's what he gets for letting me fly it, i warned him it was a bad idea!

After the trek home, which i had to stop and sit down, that block or two did me in, because its up hill. :0) wuss i know. But we made sugar cookies!

What you're looking at is an alligator on the left, a cat kind of in the middle and just two circles and on the right is a haunted house. They were really tasty! :0) We had a fun Thursday, but i got pretty worn out, probably good for me.

HeLp!

I need a hobby. Jerome has all these wonderful things that he loves to do for him, but i don't know what to do for me. i have no ideas on what a good hobby would be. I'm the type of gal who's current hobbies consist of watching a movie in the tub and sleeping. I want something that i can do for like a half hour a day after dinner or something.
 Any suggestions are welcome.

aNoThER dOcToR ViSit

We had another appointment yesterday. It went very well! Story is growing just great and her heart beat sounds wonderful! She's getting kind of sassy though. Every time they put a monitor on my belly she kicks it once or twice and dives out of the way. She doesn't like people invading her space i guess. I don't either.
Well, i passed my glucose test with flying colors the doctor said. Your number should be under 140 and mine was at 92. I've also been drinking my weight in water and lost 2 1/2 pounds! Not sure if that's good, but they didn't say anything about it. I just love love ice water and i take a big bucket of it to work every day, then i drink more when i get home. I'm loving our new ice maker! I do have to start taking iron though, because she's stealing most of mine. Apparently my mom was the same way with her first 6 or 7 babies.
The count down has begun. Only 9 weeks left! I'm getting really excited to meet her, i keep having all these dreams of what she's going to look like. It seems to change every night, but she always has brown hair, so if she comes out a blondie I'm going to be very surprised! I'm excited to dress her up and play with her little toes! I'm sure her dad will torture her, just like he does to Rayder (our nephew). Every time he crawls past Jerome he grabs his leg so he can't go anywhere. Rayder has learned quick though and started swinging punches at Jerome. :0) He deserves it. I think Story's learned too, Jerome laid his head on my belly and she kicked him in the head. She seems smart already!

BeLLy LaUgHs

This my friends is a sensational book. It is crude and disgusting and i love it! My sister-in-law passed it on after she had her baby and it is fantastic! If you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant soon i suggest you buy it. I'm not finished with it yet, but it sure cheers me up when I'm in a crappy mood, this book makes me laugh out loud. Its really short too, so if you're not a big reader like me, its quick enough to give it a chance. Jenny McCarthy tells you the dark side of pregnancy and all the gory details that no one talks about.

wE LoVe AuNt aLiSon!

A week or two ago Story got a package in the mail (Addressed to munchkin Miles) from Aunt Alison. What was inside was some really cute little beanies for her little tiny head and a note that said, "They just fell into the cart...." Then a couple of days ago Story got another package in the mail:

All that was inside of this package was (the pictures above) some cute little shoes and a note that said, "John said, 'Get rid of the cart.'" :0) Aunt Alison has been so sweet to Story already! A while ago she sent this really cute little yellow outfit with little rattles in the feet, so when she kicks her feet it makes a noise! :0)

DoNe & dOnE!!

Here are the promised kitchen pictures!...

BEFORE

BEFORE

TADA!!!

The window goes through to the hall, so i can see Story in her crib while i'm at the sink. It also lets a lot of cool air from the swamp cooler in, which before the kitchen was melting hot in the summer.

BEFORE CORNER

AFTER CORNER

Jerome built in these pantries around the fridge, before it was just a boring wall.

Inside of one of my new pantries! Jerome did an amazing job and i absolutely love my new kitchen. It still doesn't feel like mine and seems like a dream. It took me a very long time to get used to the bathroom when it was done too. We are very proud of our new kitchen, if anyone wants to come see it you're welcome to!

EEEWWW!!! aNd Ahhhh....

Ew and ah...
Ew is for the HUGE black widow we found outside our front door this morning!!! I hate spiders ESPECIALLY those ones!! I'm making Jerome spray for spiders today, especially in Story's room, we've already found 2 big spiders & a cricket in her room.
The ah is for TUMS. :0) I was told that you couldn't take tums, but my doctor said it was totally fine, so i've been sucking those things down! Constant heart burn is not very fun and these have saved the day for me!
Only 10 more weeks until Story's due!

i MaDe cOoKiEs...

I made cookies yesterday, because i can!! Our kitchen is done! We still have a few finishing touches, like handles on the cupboards and outlet covers before i can post any pictures. As you can see we scarfed (well, mostly me) down half the cookies before i took a picture of my beautiful creation. We've been running the dishwasher all day for 2 days getting everything put away. I get to make dinner tonight and I'm pretty excited! Having a dishwasher is fantastic by the way! We've never had one before and its pretty handy. So, pictures coming soon....
